Delivery Driver

Delivery Driver

Class A CDL preferred. Must have clean MVR.

Work hours are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. NO OVERNIGHTS!

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Safely operate and maintain delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
  • Load, unload, and organize items in the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely loading of delivery vehicles
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimize time management
  • Verify the accuracy of delivery orders, matching them to the appropriate customers and addresses
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including professional interaction and assistance with basic inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or customer feedback
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in keeping warehouse clean and organized

Here’s what will get you noticed:

  • Ability to effectively operate forklift and pallet jack within the warehouse
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording delivery information
  • Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes in the area.
  • Ability to navigate using GPS or maps and plan delivery routes effectively
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:

  • Clean driving history and valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred and must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test for Med Card
  • Min of 3 years of delivery/CDL driving preferred
  • Essential driving skills, including the ability to operate a vehicle safely, navigate through traffic, and park efficiently
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • General knowledge of construction products, tools, and equipment

Physical Capabilities Required:

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying heavy packages as required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at a time
  • Adequate vision to read addresses, signs, and other important information while driving and delivering products and equipment
  • Sufficient manual dexterity for precise handling of products and equipment and efficient completion of tasks
  • Resilient ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat and cold
